Sweater Weather

Another year, another winter, another day I look into my closet, bewildered, and ask ‘what the hell am I gonna wear today that is warm but also flattering?”.

It’s not that cold yet, I can still get away with wearing a lightweight top under a big, bulky cardigan and call it a day. Oh, and throw on some leopard spots on your feet and you look on pointe as well as on trend. Voila. I just did that here in this week’s photoshoot.

The acid wash top is from ZARAkids and soft AF! Yup, Zara kids. Turns out, I can get away with wearing the largest girl’s size for my petit frame and guess what? Under $20. Holla’. ?  Let this be a lesson to you, check out the kid section, you never know, it might fit and also work into your fashion budget.

Do ya like this chunky cardigan? It feels the way it looks; a large, soft bear hug *Hugging myself right now in it* mmmmm. It’s from Cupshe, you know that little virtual store taking over your Pinterest feed? Yeah, that one. I saw it on my Pinterest feed one day and a couple of clicks later, it was on its way to greet me at home. I love the color, the texture and the styling is the closet thing you’ll get to winter bohemian. The price is excellent too and they sell out pretty damn fast, so when you see it back in stock, do not bother hesitating, this is a clear win for you.

My husband thinks leopard is trashy. His exact words were, “it looks like something a miami prostitute would have worn in 1985”. I think he thought I would find his comment offensive or off putting but I didn’t, I mean, who wouldn’t want to look like that? It made me want to buy these boots from Top Shop even more..*ahem* to his dismay. It’s a good thing I don’t listen to his fashion advice (his a got a great ass) or I’d be looking more like his sci-fi fantasy. Anyway, these boots are sick! Unfortunately, it’s no longer for sale but not to worry my little reindeer gum drops, I have found a couple of boot links that look similar to mine here and here. I hope that helps, I really wish these were still available. Boo.

I don’t always know how to make sweaters look flattering on my body but I do have one combination that works for me EVERY FREAKING TIME and I want to share this with you in case you are also struggling to look like a winter goddess. Ok you ready? Here goes….big chunky sweater + jeggings = winter goddess. Easy, right? It’s like bacon and eggs, hot cocoa and marshmallows and Sunday nights watching The Walking Dead. It’s perfect. And you know what jeggings work the best for me? The ones at American Eagle, it fits like a glove over my chilly thighs.

And now….my look, put together in such a prostar way, I look boss ( kind’a wish I looked happier though…hmmmm)

Ciao
